In Honor Of Veteran’s Day

November 11th, 2010 by Cindi Sansone-Braff

In honor of Veteran’s Day, let’s see what each and everyone of us can do today to make the world a more peaceful place.  A good place to start is to stop seeing nothing but problems in your life, and start seeing only solutions.  Don’t dwell on all the negatives in your life, and try being in gratitude for all the things you do have.  Yes, we all have problems and all the rest of our days on earth, there will always be problems and changes thrust upon us that we don’t necessarily want.  By practicing The Art of Seeing Only Solutions, instead of chaos and conflict, we will begin to see peace and potential.

Goodbye, Howard, and say, “Hello, to TS Eliot for me!”

November 5th, 2010 by Cindi Sansone-Braff

I had only met Howard O’Brien  less than five months ago.  He was a childhood friend of my Soul Mate, TJ Clemente.  We had a fascinating night talking about mythology, religion, TS Eliot, literature, and our passion — playwriting.  Both Howard and I are not only writers, but playwrights as well.  I couldn’t believe how exciting it was to talk about our feelings and experiences with the world of playwriting.  That night forever changed TJ’s vision of me, since he had never heard me talk in such depth about the world of literature.  Howard and I became fast friends, and the next week he sent me a fascinating book all about “The Holy Grail.”

Little did I know that that dinner that Howard so generously treated us all to at Bobby Van’s would be not only our first supper together, but the Last Supper as well. Just days later he learned he was terminally ill with cancer.

Today is his memorial and may he find comfort in the afterlife.  Howard, I’d love to talk to you, more about writing and literature and poetry, so you know that I can hear you, so talk on!!!

Howard, you will be missed on the earth plane.  May you rest in peace.  Until we meet again…

Happy 90th Birthday from Cindi Lou — Who??

November 5th, 2010 by Cindi Sansone-Braff

This is a picture of my father and my daugher, Shana, taken a few years back.  My dad had been a magician of sorts and was teaching Shana a card trick.

My father passed away on January 2, 2010, but today would have been his 90th birthday.  I received an afterlife message from my dad last week.  I had asked him if he thought that I had taken good care of my mother.  She passed away this past July.  Anyone who saw me with my mom those last few dying weeks would witness how I acted like a four-year-old,who was watching her mommy die.  I would hold her hand and say, “Mommy, you look so pretty.  Mommy, I love you.”  I would climb into her hospital bed that was now in her bedroom at home and lie beside her and take a nap.  Anyway, the next day in the Washington Post was a story about Rob Gutro, a meteorologist who works as the deputy news chief at Nasa’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, who also happens to, like me, talk to the dead.  The story was about some of the experiences and contacts Mr. Gutro has had with the dead.  The example he gave of afterlife communication was an experience he had had this summer, when  driving to a wake. He heard a man’s voice calling, “Cindy Lou.”  Now, most of you don’t know that my real name is Cindi Louise, and when I was little (only up to the age of five, since after that my kindegarden teacher made fun of my name, and I came to hate it and refused to allow anyone to ever utter that name again), but back in the day, my parents affectionately called me, “Cindi Lou.”  Those of you who knew me as a children’s entertainer also know that when I was a clown, I used the name, “Cindi Lou.” I sort of made peace with that name, since I took it out of the closet and playfully began using it over a twenty year period, on a regular basis, in my clowning performances!  Well, the message that Mr. Gutro got from the dead man talking was this, ” Cindy Lou … your dad said, ‘Thank you for taking good care of your mom.’”  Needless, to say, chills went up and down my body when I read that!  The only other person who still calls me “Cindi Lou” is my brother, Chris, who I hadn’t spoken to in more than thirty years.  Since my parents’ passing, we have been in touch and every email he writes starts out with, “Cindi Lou.”  If you would like to read the whole story, and it is fascinating, click on this link:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/10/28/AR2010102804028.html

Happy Birthday in heaven, Daddy, and give Mommy and Jesus a kiss for me.

A message from earth to heaven from your grown-up, daughter, Cindi Lou

My Lecture at The New York Witch Festival

October 30th, 2010 by Cindi Sansone-Braff

Thank you all for coming to my lecture, Not All Love is Created Equal.  It was wonderful to have such a large, spiritually-minded audience.  I read Tarot for more than twenty people, and a big hug goes out to my dear friend and assistant, Marjorie Coluccio.  I couldn’t have done it without you.  And thanks to TJ Clemente, my Soul Mate, for being there and snapping this picture.  Happy Halloween!

Aida Turturro, Ingrid Lemme, and Cindi Sansone-Braff

October 22nd, 2010 by Cindi Sansone-Braff

I had a great time filming The American Dream Show.  I will post the video from the show shortly.  Ingrid Lemme is the host, and her guests discuss their lives and heritages.  Aida Turturro of The Sopranos fame was also a guest.  Aida is a down-to-earth person and a hardworking actress.  What an experience.  It really was a day to remember.  I loved staying overnight at Gurney’s Inn and was blessed to have a room right on the beach with a magnificient view of the ocean.  After the show, I worked out in the gym, swam in the heated, seawater pool, then jogged along the ocean.  I finished luxuriating by going in the Roman Bath.  Oh, my, life is good!

Isabella Rossellini and Me and Other Great Friends at The Hamptons Film Festival

October 11th, 2010 by Cindi Sansone-Braff

I had a fabulous weekend at Gurney’s in Montauk, going to dinner and the opening gala for the Hampton Film Festival.  I also heard a great lecture by Isabella Rossellini about her life, famous parents, marriages, and her modeling and film career.   I even got to talk to her about the film, Immortal Beloved.  I had written a one man play based on Beethoven’s life, after seeing that film.  I didn’t agree that Beethoven’s  Immortal Beloved was his sister-in-law as the movie proposed, but rather that his true love was Josephine, and that was the character Isabella Rosselini portrayed in the film.  What a wonderful weekend!  What a wonderful world!
